"Most red light masks are just Christmas lights."
Standard LED masks cannot reliably treat wrinkles and anti-aging. It scatters light and cannot penetrate into skin deep enough. Laser alone is also not great at treating acne or rejuvenation.
So we engineered DualLight® Technology combining focused VCSEL lasers with clinical-grade LEDs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Most LED masks on the market are glorified nightlights with a celebrity's name on the box.
Some do have real technology behind them. But there is a problem nobody talks about.
Standard LEDs scatter light in a wide 120-degree spread. Most of that energy dissipates before it ever reaches the deeper layers where structural aging actually starts.
And no amount of nightly use will break through it.
Our mask was engineered to eliminate that ceiling entirely.
It's a hybrid system that pairs LEDs with medical-grade VCSEL laser diodes operating at 1064nm, the same wavelength used by dermatologists in professional laser treatments.
Instead of scattering, it delivers a focused 18 to 20-degree beam that penetrates up to 10mm deep. Most masks top out at 3 to 5mm.
Yes and this is one of Luscent's key design advantages.
Standard blue and red LED wavelengths are heavily absorbed by surface melanin, which can risk overheating or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation in darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV–VI). Luscent's 1064nm wavelength bypasses the melanin layer, depositing energy directly into deep tissue. It is designed to be safe and effective across every skin tone.
As with any device, start with lower brightness and shorter sessions if you're sensitive, and build up gradually.
Consistency matters more than frequency.
For best results, use Luscent as part of your daily or every-other-day routine. Clinical studies supporting red and near-infrared light therapy typically used sessions 2–3 times per week for a minimum of 4 weeks to observe measurable improvements in skin elasticity, wrinkle reduction, and collagen production.
If you're new to light therapy or have sensitive skin, start with fewer sessions at a lower brightness and increase gradually as your skin adjusts.
Luscent features a 4-wavelength matrix:
Blue (460nm)
Target: Surface / epidermis
What It Supports: Clearer-looking skin; commonly used for breakout-prone and acne-prone skin
Red (665nm)
Target: Mid-depth / dermis
What It Supports: Smoother-looking skin; supports the appearance of fine lines and skin tone
Near-Infrared (850nm)
Target: Deep dermis
What It Supports: A more refreshed look; supports overall skin recovery and resilience
Deep Infrared (1064nm)
Target: Subcutaneous / up to 10mm
What It Supports: Deeper structural support; advanced skin revitalization where aging begins
No. Most people feel a gentle warmth — and nothing else.
The mask is made from flexible, nano-molecular silicone that molds to your face shape. Sessions are completely pain-free. If you experience any discomfort, turn off the device and discontinue use.
Yes. Use Luscent on clean, dry skin first then layer your skincare after.
- Before session: Cleanse. No heavy creams, oils, or actives on the skin.
- After session: Hydrate with a gentle moisturizer. Use SPF during the day.
- If you use strong actives (retinoids, exfoliating acids), consider using them at a different time of day if your skin is sensitive.
Luscent is wireless and rechargeable via USB Type-C.
- Battery capacity: 1440mAh
- Full charge lasts: approximately 1.5–2 hours of use
- Full charge time: approximately 3–4 hours
The battery is designed to maintain steady output throughout your entire session — no power drop mid-treatment.
Wipe. Dry. Store.
After each use, gently wipe the mask with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry it fully before storing.
Do not:
- Submerge the mask in water
- Use harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners
- Store it while damp
Yes. The 460nm blue light wavelength is clinically supported for mild to moderate inflammatory acne. Published research has shown blue and red LED therapy to be effective in reducing acne lesions over a 4-week treatment period.
However, if you have open wounds or active skin conditions, consult your dermatologist before use.
