Product Warnings and Guidance

Background

Luscent is engineered as a clinical-grade light therapy system designed for consistent, measurable results at home. By combining clinically studied wavelengths with precision laser delivery, it allows controlled energy to reach targeted layers of the skin with minimal dispersion. As with any technology that interacts with biological tissue, there are situations where use should be adjusted (precautions) and others where use may not be appropriate without medical guidance (contraindications).

The following guidance is informed by clinical literature on photobiomodulation and established medical device safety standards. If you have any uncertainty, consult a qualified healthcare professional before use.

Luscent LED Mask

Precautions

The following conditions do not automatically prevent use of Luscent, but they may affect how your skin or body responds to light therapy. In these cases, it is recommended to proceed conservatively and monitor your response.

  • Epilepsy or light-triggered neurological conditions
  • Sensitive or reactive skin
  • Recent aesthetic or dermatological procedures
  • Active acne or inflammation (without open wounds)
  • Darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI)

Before first use
Perform a 1-minute patch test on the inner arm. This helps assess how your skin responds to the device before applying it to the face.

  • Open wounds or compromised skin barrier
  • Active skin infections
  • Skin cancer or suspicious lesions
  • Photosensitivity disorders
  • Use of strong photosensitizing medications
  • Serious eye conditions or recent ocular surgery
  • Direct visual exposure to the light source
  • Any medical condition affecting the skin or eyes that requires supervision

Eye Safety
Luscent is engineered with a precision 20° beam angle, which significantly reduces light scatter compared to standard LED masks.
